I have an ultrasound scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow morning for a biophysical profile. I really hope everything looks okay and baby is doing well. If there are any concerns I believe the next step is to look at some herbal/natural ways to induce labor vs. going in for a medical induction. I'm just really not comfortable with my hospital choices here but at the same time I don't want to go past 43 weeks and I just want the baby to be healthy!

Good Luck with the ultrasound, of course your first priority is the baby's health... I hope that everything looks fabulous with the baby, and if you go the herbal route, I hope it works for you!!! ((HUGS))

So far everything looks okay. Baby is estimated to be almost 10lbs which doesn't surprise me given I'm over two weeks past my EDD, but then again I know weight estimates aren't terribly accurate at this stage. I had good fluid levels so that was good news. It was pretty neat to see the baby's very chubby cheeks, though I'm wishing we could finally meet this little one in person. Plan right now is to continue trying to get baby's head well applied to the cervix by walking, hands & knees, etc. I may try the castor oil route as per my midwife's suggestion, but we're just taking it a day at a time right now.

Good luck, Alison. I had Benjamin at 2 weeks + 2 days overdue and he was 10 lbs, but it was the best recovery from a birth I've had yet!! No tearing!! So I hope your plans go as you wish and that you don't need to be induced. If you do a natural or herbal induction, I'd like to know about it though because I am determined this time to NOT be induced. I'll be looking for your birth story!
