Just wondering how many of you do - or plan to - keep in touch with your midwife after your home birth?

Mine was just so amazing through my entire pregnancy that I can't imagine "letting go" now that my baby is here. We still talk on the phone at least once a week and email more often, and I'll see her at least one more time for a postpartum visit. She hosts a home birth support group once a month at her house that she's already invited me to, so we definitely plan to go to those as often as we can - even though her house is an hour and a half drive for me.

I don't know, maybe I'm just still postpartum hormonal, but she's an amazing person and a friend I fully intend to keep in touch with. And if we ever have a third, I've already told her I don't want to do it without her!

So, how about you? Do you keep in touch? If your baby isn't here yet, do you think you will?

Between having Benjamin and getting pregnant with this baby, we didn't really stay in touch at all. But she was the midwife for a close friend of mine so it's not like I never heard about her. Now I've added her to my Facebook and she is going to be my SIL's midwife so I'm pretty sure we'll keep in touch better after this one.

I kept Suzanne on speed dial up until recently. Kailey kept getting ahold of my phone and calling her. LOL! I'll be using Suzanne for our home birth and I already emailed her some questions about a month or so ago. I think after our homebirth I'll keep in touch more with her because it will be a more intimate relationship.

I do, but we were friends before I had Fritz and read and comment on each other's blogs and are on some e-mail groups together.
