Just thought y'all should know. It's very unlikely that I'll go early, but I had a stomach bug the other day - which aggravated my uterus and I had cramping all night. I *assumed* it was nothing, but then thought - what if it isn't nothing? What if by some miracle of God I'm going to go early for once? I'm not ready yet!!! I had no place to have the baby, nothing to put on the baby, and no place to put the baby!

So in the last few days I've been scrambling. Here's what I did:
- Got my birth pool out of the garage, cleaned it really well, blew it up to make sure there are no holes, deflated it again.
- Brought the newborn clothes out of storage, stocked the baby's dresser
- Stocked up on newborn diapers and baby soap
- Got out the bassinet, cleaned the bedding and got it all set up in our room

Ok. NOW I can have this baby. I'm ready.

LOL! Isn't it funny how we can just...put that stuff off when it isn't our first? I had *everything* ready for Rachael when I was five months pregnant. With Amelia, I was scrambling to get everything together at around 37-38 weeks too. Thought maybe a lack of preparation would convince her to come out early, but no such luck. Hope yours isn't as stubborn!!

Good Luck!

I hear ya about not preparing ahead of time... I know I'm only 30 weeks or so, but the thought of doing anything baby related hasn't even crossed my mind at this point.

Lol - too funny. With my second - the nesting never hit. My DH set up the pool & left it up until the birth. Otherwise, I had NOTHING ready. OH wait - I think I had clean towels ready. Thats pretty much it. NO clothes, no nothing lol.

Lala...

I haven't done anything yet this time. I am almost 30 weeks. With Amara I had everything ready when I was about 5 month pregnant LOL.
