have a home birth and im very excited about it, what are some things that you need for a home birth? I have never done this before so this is all new to me. Thanks

Congrats on making that decision!! I didn't check the due date list before reading your posts...if you haven't added yourself, please do!

I'm assuming that you'll have a midwife attending your birth? If so, she'll have a list for you of the things you'll need to have on hand - I think most of them have birth kits you can order online. (If you're planning to birth unassisted, there are lists posted around here somewhere I'll be glad to dig up for you.) You'll need to decide whether or not you want a water birth - if so, you'll need to add a birthing pool, new hose, etc. to the usual list.

As for what you need, your midwife should be able to either supply you with all of it - or have some suggestions for where to order everything.
