I have a baby shower to attend this weekend. At my last baby shower someone gave a gift of a birth voice announcement gift certificate. I wrote down the name because I thought it was a unique idea and it was something that I wished I had received at my shower. Now I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and get it. Tell me what you think of this. BirthMail.com is a birth announcement service that allows you to record a message when the baby arrives and it is sent to up to 50 people that you determine ahead of time. Of course there will be some people that you have to call personally(parents, siblings, close friends). But this could be for those additional people that you would love to call to tell them about your baby but don't have the time. I thought it might make a cool gift. If someone gave you this gift would you be happy? Would you use it? I just think about all those calls we made and the people we would have liked to have call but couldn't. I think it would be cool. I just need some other opinions. Especially from those who are expecting.
