My mother gave my husband a daddy's tool belt at one of our showers two years ago and I have lost the sayings that go with it. Now, my husband's brother and his wife are having a baby girl and I am helping to plan the shower. I want to make him a daddy's tool belt. I already have the tool belt and all the things to go inside of it, but I have searched and searched to try and find the checklist that goes with it and I can not find it anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need to find it as soon as possible since the shower is coming up pretty quickly.
I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but I found a checklist in pictures for a daddy's tool belt. It's kind of hard to read, but I think it's do-able.
Here's a poem:
When it's time for Diaper duty
You'll have your tools at hand
Everything you need
So mom will think you're grand.
Gloves, and mask, and tongs,
diapers, pins, and powder too.
Everything you need
For all the work you'll do!
Your Diaper Tool Belt will assure
That you do the duty right.
So that precious little baby
Will go back to sleep each night!
It's a cutsey thing, but not really meant for wearing. Especially in a couples shower or when it's a male relative who is expecting, it's a cute idea to have something for the dad. Most gifts and parties are aimed to the moms, so just having something for dad is a nice gesture. If you were doing something like a Meet the Baby party after the baby is born, then it would be something sweet to give and make him wear during the party
They usually don't cost much or you can make them yourself, too.
