What are you doing for favors? Are you going to buy them or are you making them?
I am planning on making boo boo bunnies

At my shower everyone left with a favor bag of chocolate. My SO's mom (host of the party) works at a chocolate factory. So, she made bags with choc-covered pretzels, oreos, and potato chips (strange, i know...chocolate covered potato chips! ).

I recently found some little Chinese take-out style boxes with Noah's Ark animals printed on them. I think we are going to put candy and a candle in them for favors for my shower. They are incredibly cute!

We knew my sister was having a boy - and my brother in law is a big sports fan, so we got nice blank sun visors and got iron on patches (the letter "W" for their last name) and put them on the visors. They came out ADORABLE... and it was fun to have everyone wearing them around the shower. They also were gifts that people can take home and use again. We had a bunch extra and my brother in law wears them all the time. Plus when you buy in bulk, the visors came out very inexpensive. Just something different.

I am doing popcorn favors... Here are the original bags that I got my idea from...
These are the labels that will be on my bags..
This is the wrapper that will go around the actual microwave popcorn package.
The bags will be pink and purple they will have pink or purple crinkle paper in them (opposit of the bag color), they will be tied with ribbon that has feet print on it.
Also inside the bag will be two little mints, in wrappers that say "It's a girl" and "Baby".
Also there will be an Instant lottery ticket, that will be used as one of the games.
Here are my tickets, I just need to add the scratchoff sticker.

I LOVE this idea! Where do you get the scratchoff stickers though? I never knew that you could buy them like that.

My theme is Classic Pooh (boring I know, but he's so cute). For favors, I got some little gift boxes with bath salts in them off of ebay. I got matching pre-printed invites from Ebay as well.
I also got matching scratch tickets for a game. The prize will be the centerpiece. For that, I'm getting flower pots and having DH spray paint them yellow. On one side, I'm writing Hunny (ala Pooh) and putting in them:
Small teacup and saucer
Small Pooh bear
Small pack of tea (I bought Sleepytime from Celestial Seasonings and am just going to divide them up)
Honey Bear lolly
Small pack of cookies
Everything is from ebay except the cookies. I'm going to go to Cost Plus World Market for those before the event.
Other games - I'm putting together a Bingo game based on things folks buy me off my registry. First person to yell Bingo will get a small prize pack consisting of gifts I already have lying around the house (Emergency gifts from Christmas): Blank book; candle, etc.
We're also playing the baby food jar game. The table that wins (I'm doing it by table) will each individually get a fancy soap from Crabtree & Evelyn. I had a gift card from there and didn't really want anything - hence the soaps.
And that's all for now. I tend to go a bit overboard although I am a bargain shopper. Ebay is my best friend - I even did most of my wedding stuff from Ebay including flower girl dresses for $30 and a ring bearer tux for $25.

Hi girls, I'm just lurking, I hope you don't mind...
I love the popcorn bag favors, that is sooo cute!!!! I went to a shower where they made booties out of I think some paper and filled them with nuts or candy. They were so cute, it was a long time ago so I don't remember what they made the booties out of but they were cute.

They turned out cute. What did you use to hole the diaper pin on the napkin?

I just used a drop of hot glue and it worked great! It was a last minute idea or I would have used the large, real pins. There is a cupcake liner in the diaper to keep the M&M's from going through the diaper leg holes.

These ideas are so amazing!! My mom and I have been drawing blanks all week!
She did get little colored blocks that she will fill with M&M's as part of the favors. And she is doing other prizes for the games and raffle she is doing.
I know the big prize will be a basket with a bottle of wine, crackers, and cheese and maybe some other items in it.
And she is still trying to work on the other prizes. So far, she picked up a couple of small frames to put in some of them....

I would like to make baby sock rose corsages as part of the favors. The last shower that I did, I made the baby sock roses as part of a bouquet. I purchased flowers and added the baby sock roses. They were difficult for me to grasp at first, but once I started they were super easy to make!
