yeah i think that's kinda tacky. like the dad needs to be drinkin while he's "babysitting?" which is what a lot of dads call it these days. and the lingerie thing, coming from a friend or whatever, is okay i guess but your MOTHER IN LAW? yuck! i was so embarrased b/c my 2 aunts got together for my wedding rehearsal dinner to give me some lingerie, a white teddy that said bride on the back of the matching thong...NOT at the rehearsal dinner, so my dad saw it..and i didn't feel so comfortable with that. i hope my mother in law NEVER does anything like that to me!
It would be funny as a gag baby shower gift. Like saying the rum would be needed once the baby comes (all the work and stress) and maybe the lingerie meaning they want more grandbabies and they are helping you out. But not for a real gift. That's just tacky and weird. Everyone is different and maybe they thought it was great, but I would be speechless.
