I guess it all depends.
I wouldn't invite any friends/family who were having trouble ttc or didn't have children. That would only hurt them.
Why are your friends jealous of you?
If they are your friends(esp. family) they should be happy for you and your baby and happy to be at your shower.
I had 67 people at my last baby shower - mostly friends and family.
No one was jealous(not that I know of) and I had a big party.
My baby shower was catered for and we spent well over $3000 for the day.
If people were jealous, then that's there problem, I guess.
My baby received gifts probably to the total of $2000 and everyone was happy for me.
I'm sorry if your friends/family are jealous of you.
