We both really think we'd like to have a shower/party after baby is born. We say party because the focus would be more of the baby than the mom.

I don't think I would want one until baby is about 6 weeks old partly due to the losses I've had. My mom is actually the one who brought up the idea because someone she knew had just adopted a baby and they did a shower after they brought baby home.

Once you have a baby, you will need lot's of things to use, plus all you will want after labor is rest.
