What do you do to try to prevent your child getting sick or having a flare up?

Preventative meds for the most part. If we know what he was exposed to we will try to find something to boost his immune system. Elderberry was great for the flu.

Mostly keep him on his meds and his vitamins. In the past, if I saw he was getting an infection, and knew it was sinus/URI I tried treating it with kids mucinex before. I've also used the homeopathic honey cough syrup before- though it didn't stop the drainage/other stuff.

We usually start using the nebulizer as soon as Jeremy shows signs of getting a cold. We don't use it on a regular basis otherwise. That is about all we do that is preventative.

I start giving him nebulizer treatments... Such a life saver..

My son is also on preventive inhalor (Flovent) twice a day and singular (doesn't really help).. He is also on Flonase.

When my son is 2 years old I plan on giving him elderberry during the winter and spring months..
