and spoke with the secretary to see if Nathan's allergy results were in. All she could say over the phone is that they were in. She couldn't tell me what was on the report but she said "If the test indicated any allergies, the pedi would have had me call you to set up an appointment. And, I wasn't told to call you so everything must be fine."

*knock on wood* Nathan has been without a breathing a treatment and has seemed healthy for 10 days now!! When he cries, he still gets a bad cough but it goes away and his breathing turns back to normal shortly afterwards.

So, it sounds like we're in the clear as far as allergies go... I'll wait to see how the asthma thing goes..

That is great that it doesn't sound like allergies. That eliminates a trigger. Hopefully they can figure out what is causing him to have flare ups soon. Wohoo for 10 days no treatments.

What type of allergies did they test for?

For some reason when my son had allergy test done, they just did the food profile 1 and 2.. Which like you said, they called me and had me make an appointment and that's when they told me about what he is allergic too.. One test I wish they would have done was profile testing for common pollen allergies in my area.. Dr. said they don't test until the child has been through 2 full seasons.. A.J is not even through with Spring and he has already been diagnosed with Hay Fever.. We will be doing the blood test at his 2 year check up just to see if he has any reactions.. Wish they would have done it early.. Maybe your son needs that test as well..

Wow. Frederick didn't have to wait 2 seasons to get tested. Though he did do the 'Rast' test on him and it came back inconclusive so he got the scratch test and 10 needles.

They tested Nathan for a whole host of things.. different types of pollen, different trees, mold, dust, cats, dogs,.. I can't remember what else.. But I know the pedi asked if we had any concerns about allergies to food. I said no.. So I think he checked off almost everything else!
