Who's getting them?
(If you get it)would you/your child still get it if your child didn't have asthma?
We never have because Danny had always done so well with the flu. He has had it every year since he was born but this past year was 100% different. He just about wound up in the hospital a few times. His fever used to never get above 102...this time it was up past 104 with tylenol and he was pretty much unresponsive for 4 days straight. It also REALLY kicked his lungs. He was wheezing and coughing horribly even with Elderberry Extract (natural fighter against the flu), Xopenex every 2 hours with double treatments about every 4 hours, pulmicort every 8 hours, advair, and oral steroids. It was a royal mess for him. This year we are opting for the flu shot but he is getting it done at the allergist's office since he has an egg allergy.
