I dropped by a playgroup today at a "green" baby store nearby called Crunchy Granola Baby. They had a guest speaker, a nutritionist and personal trainer from a local fitness center talking about eating healthy. I missed the beginning and walked in to him talking about good "fatty foods" like avocados and breastmilk.

After he was done talking, he stayed around for questions. I decided to ask him for his insight on what I should be offering to feed Walter most, since he is such a picky eater. I mentioned I was still breast feeding and he was really supportive and went on about how I have nothing to worry about because breastmilk is so amazing. He went on about how his daughter was breast fed until she was 18 months, and that she didn't want veggies for the longest time because she developed a sweet tooth for breastmilk.

I thought it was awesome that a "healthcare" professional (so to speak) was so supportive of extended breastfeeding, let alone a male personal trainer.

It made me happy.

That's great, it's so refreshing to meet someone who is supportive of extended breastfeeding!

I want one of these "great experiences" you ladies keep talking about (stomps foot)

Seriously though - I am always glad to hear that there are some other places where you can get great info & support!
