i am still nursing my 20 month old, morning and night. he has recently developed a very severe lactose intolerance. obviously he cannot have any dairy, and the pedi told me that i need to eliminate all dairy from my diet so long as i continue nursing. i hate milk and cheese anyway, so this won't be a big issue. but milk, whey, or lactose is on the ingredient list in nearly everything! has anyone else had a baby/toddler with lactose intolerance? did you eliminate everything from your diet or could you get away with eating a bit of the foods that have milk in the "less than 2% of the following" section of the ingredient list? e.g. i'd really love to eat a bit of milk chocolate!
