My one friend nursed her two boys to around 13 months each. My good friend has a baby a few months younger than DD who is not planning on stopping anytime soon. We go to LLL and there are women bfing toddlers there and at yoga there are a couple moms who bf 22-25 month olds.
Nobody that I know of. There was a group of us at church who had babies at the same time but I'm the only one. Everybody else used formula. Oh wait, my co-worker is still BF'ing her DD and she'll be 3 next month. So I know 1 person.
I actually know a bunch. When the girls were 3 months old, we started going to a mommy and me group at a local hospital. The group was for newborns through one year olds and it was great. They really encouraged breastfeeding. A bunch of the moms I met there are still nursing their LOs. I also have a few other friends who nurse past a year. I feel really lucky that BFing is so common on this area and that so many people do it past a year.
Thank you peimum for my siggie
