Audrey had an ear infection this week. She suddenly nearly stopped nursing. As it gets better she's picking it back up though. I think it hurt for a while. She's down to 3 to 5 sessions a day right now.
it really depends on her if shes in that little mommy snuggle mood then i can expect every 2-3 hours around the clock.if shes in her playfull mood we usually look at 3-5 times during the day and 2-5 at night.so i never know from day to day...lol
including evenings, 6-10 times. sigh. she is eating a lot more food the past couple weeks but still has not reduced her nursing. It is ok with me, but gets exhausting when it is in the 10 x's a day range.

They are now down to 3 or 4 times a day. Last month it was at least 10 per day. I'm loving the new routine. They are so much more serious about the time they spend nursing. They don't scrape their teeth on me like they used to and don't pop on and off over and over. The time I'm not spending nursing has allowed me to spend time with them doing other things. I love the nursing and am not ready to give it up yet, but the reduction has been amazing.
Thank you peimum for my siggie

Constantly. It seems like, every time I sit down, she wants to nurse. I'm trying to get her interested in table foods more, but she doesn't nurse any less. Sometimes, I feel like I still have a newborn.
Usually every 4 hours or so (if we're out and about) through the day. If we're having a lazy day at home she nurses more often...every 2-3 hours maybe? At night she usually nurses if she wakes up which is maybe once? Often I'll just bring her to bed with me after she's sttn and I'll nurse her and we'll sleep in a little more.
