My son is 14 months and has been ebf with no problems. I've been really lucky to not have any "issues" all this time. About 5 weeks ago I started having a nipple pain that seemed to grow from out of nowhere. It started out a small pain with no visible signs, and it's progressed to a deep oozing crack and the pain during feedings is unbearable and I've even started the weaning process. It did get better for a couple days, one day back to normal even. I want to continue to bf, how can I heal this?? I've been using Motherlove Thrush cream and hot towels. I don't have health insurance, so going to the dr is my last resort. Advice? Thanks

have you tried neosporin in between feedings? (wipe off before feeding) to help heal the crack.

yes, you can try it, as long as you wipe it off before feedings.
