Hi my name is Kim! I have a 12 yr old son named Raven and a 15 month old son named Aidyen. I am currently Breastfeeding Aidyen and plan to until at least 3. I want to get pregnant again soon and had fertility issues in the past. That is why there is such a huge age gap between my boys it took 9 1/2 yrs to conceive Aidyen. My question is does anyone know or have any personal experience with using clomid and metformin to conceive? Everything I've read says it's ok but has anyone used it and been successful?

metformin is generally used for PCOS, and clomid can produce more than one follicle (egg) and cause women who do not ovulate to ovulate, in most cases. Although, clomid does have a lot of side effects and can alter your cervical mucus making it inhospitable to sperm, so that is always a concern as well. A good doctor should be monitoring all those things though.

Yes, I have PCOS and used clomid and metformin to conceive my last baby. I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience using these meds while breastfeeding?
