My son is 13 months old.

He still nurses very often. I have to have 2 impacted wisdom teeth cut out in December and I'm wonder if anyone had any advice on how to manage pain afterwards?

I had my gallbladder out in August and was given Perocets for pain and had no adverse reaction in my son's behavior, health or to my supply. I've also been prescribed Hydrocodone (sp) for pain in my back after giving birth.

I've never noticed anything more than a little constipation, which honestly I was too (sorry TMI) and he was a little be drowsy the first day when I took pain pills right on schedule.

I don't want to give up nursing for a few days nor do I want to be in pain. I've come too far to end up weaning him either.

Everyone in my family (well DF family) wants me to just quit nursing..

Percocet is fine to take while nursing, that is what they perscribed me after my c section. i really just took motrin though.

I'm on long term narcotics for a genetic condition, been on them 3 years and nursing the whole time. There is no problem with it.
