He has no interest in stopping, he turned 2 in October. My nipples are so sore and he seems more fanactical because he gets less. MY ob says I have to stop or the baby will start taking reserves from my bones. I feel awful all the time, I am 10 weeks. I tried to go on strike but his screaming is too much and I end up caving for some peace.

Hey, there! You are not alone. My son is younger - he will turn 18 months soon and I am already 17 weeks pregnant. It sounds easy to wean in the theory, but practically...ehh. I was lucky not to have sore nipples until the 2nd trimester. Since 14 weeks latch on is painful, but still it is not so bad. Milk has almost disappeared since the 2nd trimester and my son seems to have almost lost interest about it during the day, but nights are not improving at all.

no, he is not going to take anything from your bones. you may have a dip in milk that will last most of the pregnancy, or the first trimester. I have a very forceful toddler who does not like to take no for an answer for nursing. I do say no, but i know how hard it is. Try cuddling, sippy of milk or some other beverage, food, more interaction (ie, is it boredom?), don't sit down.

he doesnt nurse all day long, mostly before bd and when he wakes up in the morning. Sometimes he wakes during the night and will not go back to sleep without it. I even got a pacifier but it didnt work, he knows the difference, he threw it down angrily. It feels he he tries harder to get milk, swear I think he thinks its a piece a meat and I have to pull him off.
