Hi i've had a chance to read some of the posts. I'm Nancy btw. I think I am in such a similar situation. My DH goes to school full time and DD is with him the rest of the time. I work full time and it seems that my daughter just wants to nurse more when I'm on vacation, on the weekends, or even just before/after work. She also seems to act out and we're thinking maybe it's because I work.

I have other friends who weaned closer to 1 year and they just said to keep the LO super busy. Go on walks before naps so they fall asleep in the stroller, or just be out and about so that they fall asleep with out it.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to meet everyone, but did you co-sleep too?

I could see that working at a year, but not at 2.5 years. We do cosleep. I tried to transition her to her own bed and it was ok for a week or two then she demanded going back in our room. And Dh was ok with that because i was sleeping in her room on the floor

We are at 18 months and Lauren will bite down on the nipple I immediately say 'no' and we stop nursing. We will either be done then or she gets one more go. Knowing what we as moms want and being CONSISTENT is the key, I think. My prob is I don't know what I want! The only support I get is DH (who is the most important), but still I am annoyed back lack of support which = lack of knowledge IMO.

well, we have had some progress, though on and off colds/illness has set us back a little here and there. We have had some days with minimal nursing and she has gone to sleep for nap (at home) without nursing about 50% of the days i am home with her at nap time. Her nighttime nursing is really minimal too. So I feel like we are going in the right direction. The end of March I am going away Fri-Mon without her and we are hoping that will be it.
