Decided to Wean

I decided to wean my little girl a couple of days ago. Things weren't going good and she would never ever spend time with me if she wasn't nursing. Since we were down to a couple of nursing sessions a day I'm pumping them for her and giving her a cup and eventually I'll stop doing that.

Thank you though for all of your support, I'm really happy that I made it to my two year goal

25 months of nursing was a great run and I can feel good about giving her a good nutritional start in life.

How is that going for you?
I was surprised that Eliana's taking it so well, she's asked a few times, but I always give her some pumped milk or some water and distract her. She's a very tantrum prone toddler, but she hasn't had any big meltdowns over it yet.

not well at all. been trying for 6 months

We decided that we will probably just prepare her to be done on her 3rd bday.

Every child is different.
I think it's great that you're taking so much time to do things gently. I know I'd probably get frustrated and start wearing nothing but turtleneck dresses for awhile.

that would not help! she tried to nurse thru my shirt the other day
