How do you handle remarks about breastfeeding past a year?
I have a family member that kept on me babies need to be off the bottle @ a year, comparing boobs to bottles. When I stated facts she turned them down and continued with the off the bottle @ a year. She then told me I was going to be one of those weirdos taking my kid to kindergarten breastfeeding.
I'm breastfeeding a 4 year old, they gave up .
Actually I never got much comments to my face, probably plenty behind my back though. Have you tried just telling her "thank you for your concern" and switching the subject?

I'm now nursing my 3rd toddler, so people have given up No really, I pretty much told people with my first that is MYOB - mind your own business! Basically, this is my child, my family, I will do what I feel is best for us. I think I've grown a thicker skin since becoming a parent, because I do a few things that are out of the "norm" and I've had to just ignore the comments people make.
