Well I originally planned for two months and then we would see if I could handle pumping at work. I WANTED to make it four months since that's how long I bf Marissa and gave up on the pumping. It worked out though and here I am still going at 15 (almost 16) months.

I never really thought about how long I would nurse for my first but I only did for a few days. With my second I was just more worried about not giving up then how long I would do it once I finally got the hang of it I didn't see the point in switching to formula or giving up till she wanted to. Eith my third and fourth I knew I would self wean.

My goal has been a year, and I am one week away from that. And I don't think DD will let me wean her anytime soon. I kinda knew I would extend nursing, I was BF till my thrid birthday.

With all 3 of my kids I planned to at least go a year and then start weaning...when the time came, I didn't rush it with any of them...DD weaned at 13mo+, DS at almost 14 mo and Harrison is still going strong at 15mo.
