One time at church, I was nursing Daniel...fully covered by a blanket...and the lady in front of me leaned over to her husband and said, "I'd never do that. That's so gross." Then her husband turned around and looked at me. Then her whole family sitting up there turned around to look at me. DH noticed this whole thing transpire more than I did thankfully.
Other than that, I can't think of a single time. Maybe I just didn't notice.
I have nursed mo other two girls in public till age 2, and only once in the 7 yrs Ive been nursing have I ever heard one negative thing. Im out all the time and nurse on demand, so its pretty interesting to me that I ahvent ehard more, lots and lots of opportunities with 3 babies now.
The one thing that got said to me was by some teenage/college age target store member who decided to get nasty with me while Iw as sitting crosslegged on the floor in the doll aisle nursing my 6 week old who was having a massive growth spurt. I tried to make it to the fitting rooms, but she wouldnt stand for it, I had no sling, and a 2 yr old with me. I sat on the floor and nursed. So this chickie makes her snide remarks, and I responded coolly to her, and she wandered off. Then I went and found the store manager and reported her. She was to be talked to that day and the manager was to speak at the staff meeting in the morning, telling them the ONLY thing anyone should EVER say to a mom nursing in Target is "is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable?".
Honestly, I feel like if someone said something to me now about NIP, I might laugh at them. Id be like uh yeah ok, whatever.
