Do you have a gamer DH? What games does he/she play? Do you play games with them? How do you deal if the gaming ever gets out of control? Tell me about it!

Yes, my dh has been a gamer for years and years. Currently, all he plays is WoW although we do have a Wii and a few Wii games that we play once in awhile (mostly it's there for the kids, though).

I *absolutely* play games with him! I play WoW with him. We both raid, and it's a lot of fun. I don't think it's out of hand. It's less time than a lot of people spending watching TV every night. It's just a different version of screen time, and it's one where we do have to engage our minds a bit and interact with not only each other but other people too.

If it got out of hand, it would be symptomatic of something much bigger wrong in his life, and I think we would start by addressing that.

Yep my DH is a gamer as well. He plays some computer games and Xbox and PS3. I played one computer game with him, League of Legends, but it's a real-time game against other people so you can't pause it and now that we have a baby i currently can't play because the baby is still too small and it's very unpredictable when he will wake up! I also play various console games with him like a bunch of different Lego games (star wars, pirates of the caribbean, etc), Borderlands and Gears of War 3 are a few.

Nope, he has no interest in anything like that.

If he played anything it would be our old arcade type games he has on his Sega thingy but he never does.

We have 2 PS3's and a Wii. He only gets to play when I am not home. Sometimes we play games like jeopardy, you dont know jack, monopoly, madagascar carts, etc.. but he is ok with not playing much. Sometimes I feel bad because I will buy him a game and he doesn't get time to play it... so, I will let him have an hour or two while I read.

Yes he is a gamer! We have a PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 with kinect. I normally don't play with him. Caden (4 year old) and myself always play the kincet either Michael Jackson experience, The Black eyed Peas or Zumba..lol

At one point in time prior to kids DH had a problem with the amount of time he would spend on the games! It was crazy...things have changed now and he hardly finds the time.
