Do you have any traditions that your family did growing up that you plan on doing with your children/family? Are you planning any new traditions?

Noen from my family.

In DH's family when a person goes out on their own and begins their own household the head female is presented with a floral wreath, to signify her being the head of the household, which I think is quite lovely.

I keep mine above my bed, and occasionally it comes out as a reminder to everyone, haha.

We read The Night Before Christmas every Christmas Eve. That was about it.

I plan to continue that. We'll add a picture ornament each year to our tree. We also go to the Renaissance Festival every fall.

None from my childhood. We have started some new ones, and are keeping a couple of DH's childhood ones.

Every year we buy an ornament that signifies something big that happened that year. We too read The Night before Christmas to Cam on Christmas Eve. Once Cam gets a little older I would like to do some sort of community service as a family. Something like making little bags with toiletries and protein bars for the homeless or volunteering at a food bank.

Just dinner with our extended families on holidays (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving).

Opening our stockings before presents.

Umm, not a whole lot I can think of.
