I have one sister named Betsy.
We are not close. We don't speak at all unless we are in the same room for holidays and such, and even then it is really tense. We aren't even friends on Facebook. I wish we were closer, and I've tried in the past. We were getting there until a situation arose with one of her friends (attempted rape) at one of the parties she was throwing, and she took his side and is still friends with him (as did/are my parents), so that permanently severed any relationship we had built to that point.
My SIL is really awesome, though, and I consider her my "sister". Her name is Alyssa. She and I are pretty close.
