Chicken alfredo

- grill chicken in a large frying pan (I like to use ones that work well for hamburger helper, if that gives you an idea how big)
- boil water for noodles while cooking chicken....use egg noodles....we prefer the no yoke & cholesterol free egg white ones
- Once the egg noodles are done cooking, add to the chicken.
- Add half - 2/3 of the alfredo sauce
- Add one can of chicken gravy (helps thin it out so its not so heavy)
- Add in diced red pepper (we usually use at least one, sometimes two) - OPTIONAL

When the sauce is hot, its ready! Cook longer if you want the red peppers to be mushier, or shorter if you want them still crispy. Usually about 20 min or so from start to finish. We usually make a large batch since it's one of those dishes that are delicious for a few days after

Spaghetti with meat sauce (only takes me about a half an hour to make, but everyone that has had it LOVES it...chocked full of garlic, yum!) and seasoned green beans

Macaroni and cheese mixed with a can of tuna and a can of peas

Chicken, broccoli and bowtie pasta with garlic alfredo sauce

Tuna salad sandwiches

Italian chicken, 5 chicken breasts cooked in italian dressing. My oven works best at 450F for 30 minutes. Then we have alfredo noodles and whatever veggie we're up to that day.

Spaghetti or lasagna are also fairly easy to put together.

Cheesy chicken casserole was a quick favorite but I haven't made it in awhile, it sounds good lately though!

Chicken fajitas (4 chicken breasts cut up, cooked stove top in some oil. drain, add in homemade bbq sauce, top with your favorites. we do sour cream, cheese and lettuce) plus whatever sides you want

Spaghetti is an easy one if we're short on time or supplies. Grilled meat (chicken or pork usually), spinach salad and another side (depending on what we have - quinoa, brown rice or dried beans are the usuals) is another (although I try to do different things with the seasonings to keep it fun even though it's the same set up). Chili is another good one but it's less appetizing in the summer than in the winter.

A box of mac and cheese for the girls and oven chicken and chips for us. Or take-away of course. Always a hit with the girls.

mac and cheese, hamburger, and cream of mushroom soup, make all then mix together in casserole dish and bake. about 30-45 minutes to make and we eat leftovers for a little bit

most of what we eat is quick.

tacos
spaghetti
fettuccine alfredo

I've been trying to put more effort into it, since I don't do anything except cook and clean, I may as well do a good job of it!

penne a la vodka
shephards pie
baked chicken with veggies
turkey chili
frozen make your own pizza
perogies and salad

I love to cook, but I hate spending tons of time in the kitchen on a weeknight. So I take short cuts, and do whatever I can to make these single dish meals.
