Do you have the serial numbers for your TV, DVD Players, Playstations, etc wrote down in case something happens to them (stolen and such)?

I know we wrote them down somewhere when we first bought them....but that piece of paper is probably long gone...

We haven't, but now I think that's a great idea because yesterday there was a fire in our building. It turned out to be minor (they were trying to clean the oven and it caught fire), but if it had been serious, we could've been needing to replace a lot of things....
