I met my DH in highschool grade 9 for me, it was grade 11 for him. We didn't date at all during highschool but became best friends and even both lived together as room mates for a while.
I moved away to go to university and we both got into other relationships, I got married (then divorced...lol) We still had friends in common but we didn't really spend much time together. A few years later we bumped into eachother and started dating. But I just wasn't ready for the serious type of relationship he was. So we stopped dating for a bit. Eventually we saw eachother again and realized we were meant to be, got together and married a year later...lol.
My story can get long but basically we were co-workers.
I was supposed to work in a particular part of the store(he worked in the service center) but through some very odd events I ended up where he worked as the shops lead mechanic. There I trained as a service writer and was supposed to only be there a week but some other odd things went down and I ended up being a supervisor/writer there permanently.
We got to talking on a day I got some VERY bad news and became friends(both dating others). Then I stopped dating, he broke off with his girlfriend and we ended up becoming more.
David was in the Marine Corps and his roommate was dating my friend. David came over one early morning and I happened to be there with my current boyfriend at the time. About 2 months later, we met again after I broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years. A week later, I was dating David and 4 months later, we eloped in Las Vegas. I will be celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary this November.
I met Eric at my sister's apartment....his sister had one in the same building. Our sister's kids played together so we got to know each other and started dating. We were boyfriend/girlfriend from 1997 until 2001 when we married.
Trisha--proud stay at home mommy and wife.
We were out for coffee and I reached into my car to grab something and someone grabbed my bum. I turned around and slapped the nearest person to me...it was DH and he had had his wisdom teeth out 2 days before so spent half an hour spitting blood and stitches out. He wasn't even the person who grabbed me, it was his friend! But he had my attention after that
Online. Not through a dating website though - it was a lot more casual (and unexpected) than that. We actually met on an online game and were acquaintances for several months, then friends and then we got to talking on the phone. The rest, as they say, is history. It was nice because we got to know each other rather organically, without expectations, because who starts playing an online game expecting to meet their future spouse? We were both just there to be dorks, be ourselves and enjoy a hobby, and we ended up with much more.
We met at work, at the Christmas party to be exact! A mutual friend introduced us at the party (thinking we would make a cute couple! LOL) I ended up buying him a beer that night (go figure! ha ha). We started dating a couple weeks later and the rest is history! We met in December 2004, and got married October 2008!
I met Rob through an online dating service. I was trying to recover from a break-up and my sister insisted I just try it out. I really didn't expect to meet anybody for a long term relationship, but figured it might help me pick myself up off the ground. He's the only guy I met through that service that I went on a second date with.
