How much do you budget- or do you not budget at all for the holidays. who all do you buy for and do certain people get more money spent on them. do you do number of gifts or the total amount of money spent?

We're spend $20 on our siblings and our niece and nephew, and a bit more on our parents and his step parents. We have a pretty small budget this year since we had a baby this year and I'm on mat leave.

I'm spending about $100 on DH (and using a bunch of my points). Not sure what we're doing with Cameron, he'll be 5 months so on the verge of toys and such but I don't know what everyone else is planning to get him.

Siblings - nothing, both sides of the family on buy for the children. We will probably send about $20-30 each on all 5 of our nieces and nephews (thats a lot of money) and then on our parents we will spend about $50 each (5 parents including steps). We won't buy anything probably for eachother. We may buy a new TV for the bedroom or something though (depending on money left) and then for our kids..oh lord. I hate this part because we always buy too much and then they get so much from everyone else. It will probably be over $200 each....I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with Christmas!!

How much do you budget- or do you not budget at all for the holidays? I have a christmas club and usually keep within it very rare do I actually have to throw more money in than what the check was for.
who all do you buy for and do certain people get more money spent on them. do you do number of gifts or the total amount of money spent? We do not buy for nieces and nephews there is too many and same with brother and sisters there is just too many and we really have everything we want. I usually spend a bit more on our parents then everyone else cause they deserve it!

I don't have a firm budget, but I do keep the spending on it all tightly controlled. I spend the most of course on Maggie and DH. I'm trying my level best to keep everyone else to $40 or less. Kids are capped at $20.
