Here is a list that I found for the traditional anniversary gift for each year.
Anniversary Gifts By Year - Traditional and Modern

Do you do this or do you stray and get something that you know your dh/so will like?
What are some gifts that you have bought dh/so?
What are some of the gifts dh/so has bought you?

So funny because our 1st one, we inadvertently followed this! I got him a new watch to replace the one that disappeared in our move (clock), and he got me a beautiful calendar for the kitchen (paper).

This past year was our 2nd and we just got cards and went for dinner (he got sick partway through though )

The first and second anniversary we went someplace(first year was an overnight trip to Tombstone, second year was a trip across town to see Mamma Mia! performed). But after that money and no babysitters caught up with us and we just try and do dinner and cards.

We aren't at our first wedding anniversary yet, but I doubt we will follow that. We will probably just get each other stuff we know the other person will like. For me, that will probably be clothes and jewelry. *lol*
