All the above. Its on a tiny street with little to no traffic, and there's a park literally 2 doors down that the kids can go to. I wanted a bilevel because that's the kind of house I grew up in, and it was old enough that we could update it and put our own special touches to truly make it ours.
We live on a farm and tore the old house down 9 years ago. We weren't really in a position to build a house, but our old house had so many issues with it that a different home became neccisary (or spend a boatload of money) so we live in what I call our attainable dreamhome. I love our house, it is perfect for us.
we chose it because it is right across the street from a state lake (perk!) that way nothing can really be built in front of us...we can walk to the lake and have a picnic if we wanted to.....we wanted an acreage too.....so this was a good choice in our price range...and it was bigger than our old house another plus cause we outgrew our first house pretty much as soon as we moved into it LOL....and it has a nice sized kitchen!!!!! That was one thing that I was not bending on, kitchen size, ohh and more than one bathroom....with 3 girls that was a MUST too!
