what kinds of things does your husband do with the kids?? if no kids yet what do you hope that he does with them?
since my dh has a hard time getting around its hard for him to do many things with them that require him being up and moving about.but he will play board games with them, help them with homework, let them read to him...he and Helena love to play xbox together an I try to get him out and about with them for some one on one time even if its just out to lunch every once in a while...he will also take them to their dance classes if I need him to or any dr or dentist appts he can if he is home....like yesterday he took them all to the dentist...it gives me a little break from doing all that type of stuff and even a 20-30min car ride is time he is spending with them
They usually play Xbox together. Or he'll help them pick up their rooms. He plays basketball and football with them outside when its warm. And sometimes he takes them out to breakfast on Sundays when I'm at work.
I think when the kids were younger he'd just play with them. He rides horses with them (and teaches them how to rope) and we snowboard in the winter. (we go pretty much every saturday, dh volunteers at the ski hill where #1 and #2 work)
he plays xbox with them, mostly the older two but Audrey has her own control(doesn't work) and she thinks she's playing with him lol. He also plays basketball a lot with them and throws the football around in the yard, he'll build blocks with Audrey or read or play whatever she's doing in her room.
my husband is extremely hands on. he loves to do everything with them, read, play outside, work on the cars, build things. it's so refreshing to see him not do a chore because he has the kids, but to let them be involved too.
he & kale built shelves in our garage last spring and kale was so proud that he helped, that everyone that comes over has to see it
