during the first 24 months, the intellectual development of a child gradually enables him to do the following;
* to integrate sensory information
* to form associations and expectations so that he/she can learn to make sense of the world.
* to develop object permanence.
* to learn how to think in an abstract way and how to make deductions.
* to develop concept of time.
BUILD TOWERS WITH WOODEN BLOCKS and bowl them over with a brightly coloured ball. support your baby in a sitting position so that he can watch the bal and therefore practice following a moving object with his eyes. the highlight for your baby will be when he sees the tower tumbling down. you may notice after a while that he learns to predict what is about to happen. make sure you give a running commentary of what is happening.
