Baby Rocking back and forth on all fours

Hi Ladies.

I've just joined this forum and this is my first post.

, so I hope this post is in the right place.

We have a little girl who is now 8 months, 1 week. She has just started to crawl properly on all fours over the last week, before she had a sort of army style crawl along the floor for a few weeks.

The thing which is concerning me now is that she also rocks back and forth on all fours every now and again, I googled it (mistake) and it can be a sign of autism

, which has me worried now

She is our first child, so I'm not sure whether this occassional rocking is normal or not ?

Rocking back on all fours is 110% totally normal! In fact I don't know of one baby who has NOT done it. My 6 month old does it, and so did my 3.5 year old. They both do/did it when they were just starting to get up on all fours and could see an object or a toy that they wanted. They would focus on it, rock, then go. Its totally normal.
