Do people do this to you? My family drives me crazy with this sometimes. My kids are the worst. Shawn will be crawling around on the floor doing his own thing happily or maybe he starts to fuss a little but he isn't in need of anything and is fine where he is at. They are constantly picking him up and bringing him to me to hold. I don't always pick Shawn up right away when he fusses because I like to see if he settles down on his own first. Crawling on the floor is good for him and it's not like he never gets held. It's like if you think he needs to be picked up, you hold him. LOL.
I know I am not the only one with this issue because I've heard other friends tell me their dh does this sort of thing. My dh isn't too bad with this but he does hand him to me if he gets fussy.
Personally, I'd say something. You don't have to have like a big lecture, but next time someone picks up the baby and brings him to you just say something like - if you pick up the baby you better be prepared to hold him and ask them to put him back down where he was playing. People don't realize what they are doing I think.
Oh my goodness, my cousin will do this alllll the time. She will actually take Lilly from somebody who is happily holding her, carry her around for 10 minutes, amd find me or my husband to give her to. It drives me crazy!!
