Oh man, Thrush... I hate thrush. Are you breast or bottle feeding. We got thrush when Lilly was 3.5 months old... we are still trying to get rid of it!! It goes away and somehow comes back. It started oral, then was in the diaper area, then in the fold under her neck, then in between her chubby little fingers... It bounces around like crazy. When we got it I was breastfeeding and had to treat her and I, it went away orally but I guess somehow a binky slipped through the things washed and sanitized and bam, it was back. That happened repeatedly. I have no idea how the diaper rash one keeps coming up! It goes completely away we continue to treat it for 2 days and a couple weeks later I will notice again! Its not like she sits in a wet diaper ever either. Then under her neck, she is so chubby that its hard to get in there. It seems to always be moist and warm.. so even though we treat it, it comes back. When I saw it between her two little fingers I was like are you kidding me!! But that went away quick and as of now we don't have it... holding my breath that its gone for good. Its been about 2 weeks.
Sorry didn't actually answer your question. Use the antifungal stuff religiously. rub it on her gums, tongue, inside of her cheecks, ect and then give her the does the doc instructed too. At least 4 times a day. If you are breastfeeding, put it on your nipples at least 4 times a day. Find anything and everything that baby puts in her mouth and sanitize it, not just wash... sanitize.
That is my thrush horror story, not a regular thrush thing I don't think. My doc did say it sometimes takes forever to get rid of but when my second was a newborn he got it and we got rid of it with in 3 or 4 weeks. He didn't take binkies at all though.
