My RE was very quick to jump to IVF and is not nearly as sensitive as yours. It hurts, its scary, it makes you reevaluate a few things. But hey, I am no dr and I think you have this. Your body is working. It may take a little longer but its going to happen-- don't lose hope and I also have a great feeling about the Clomid/ IUI cycle. My RE wouldn't even discuss doing a non medicated IUI-- says the best success rate is IVF and second is a stimmed IUI so tons of dust to you

Welcome back!! I was wondering where you went. I think that's great that you are doing Clomid + IUI and I will be stalking you as usual and sending you lots of good thoughts. I don't post as much as most people but I follow everybody's progress and am always rooting you ladies on. I hope to be following your prego journal soon though instead of your TTC journal.

CD 4 of Cycle #18...

Thanks girls! I'm certainly hoping this will be what we need. I'm getting closer and closer to the 2 year mark and I'd reeeeally like to be pregnant before that happens! Gotta go pick up my Clomid script today... I'm thinking I'll actually do that in a little while. Get it out of the way.

Danny was all grumpy this morning because we apparently went over budget this past pay period. I'll admit, I had a few extra trips to the $ store & grocery store... I really don't spend very much at all, but it's no use trying to tell him that when he's like that.

Nor is it worth pointing out that he goes out for lunch with people at work a handful of times per week... I just apologized for my part in it and left it be. Hopefully he'll be in a better mood by the time he gets home.

Not much else goin' on 'round here... Just preparing myself for the return of the Hot Flashes. Joy! Joy!!

Happy Hump Day!

Here's hoping the clomid+iui is the perfect match for you and you wont even have to face that 2yr mark at all !!!!!

How's the Clomid going this time around?? Any hot flashes? I was surprised to have a TON less hot flashes this time, after having a break in Clomid cycles, than my earlier Clomid cycles that were all together! Hopefully it's the same for you!

CD 6 of Cycle #18...

So far I'm doing alright with the Clomid. Last night I noticed a fair bit of blanket on, blanket off... so I'm not sure where that's all going. I guess we'll see.

It's looking like AF may finally be gone. I used to have her for 3 days and then she was outta here. Since my surgery it's been at least 5 days... and I still had a bit of spotting this morning. Who knows what's going on with that.

Not much else going on around here really. I'm glad it's Friday and I get 2 days with my hubby! That always makes me happy!! A friend of ours had texted last week and asked what we were doing this weekend. I told her nothing, so I'm not sure if she's still plannin' on droppin' by for a visit or what. I'm thinking probably not because I haven't heard anything back from her since then.

Oh well. Nothing wrong with a nice quiet weekend.

Glad you get a nice quiet weekend and also hoora for Clomid not being too hard on you...

I know the RE scared you with the IVF talk...and I wanted to just encourage you not to give up on injectables...
This girl was one of the ones that I was talking about last year...she might be able to answer any questions you might have...sometimes the REs want to move on to IVF pretty fast...

http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f7...lo-ladies.html (Hello ladies :))

but here's hoping that you wont need to even try any injectables and that this will be it...when is your first U/S??

My first U/S is on CD 12, which is, coincidentally also the 12th! I'm excited to "see" on U/S for the first time, how my ovaries respond to Clomid.

I picked up 5 OPK's today. I haven't decided when to start doing them because Clomid tends to make you O a bit later than usual...

I totally understand the blanket on&off thing. I've been on clomid for the past 3cycles and the hot sweats get worse each month...more towards the middle of my cycle, lol...

CD 10 of Cycle #18...

I am so sick of Comcast coming to my house to fix my internet. This is getting ridiculous. It's working now... so we'll see how long it lasts this time. GRRR!!

I had to pick my niece up from the airport on Sunday. She flew from London to Georgia to see her grandparents, then to Vegas to spend time with her dad, now she's here for 2 weeks before going back home to London.

I was over at my parents yesterday because Dan needed to help my dad back up some info from his computer, and Dani (niece) wanted to come home with us, so we let her.

Dan made tacos for dinner then they played Wii golf together before having a massive tickle fight and eating ice cream. Then she curled up between us on the sofa.

After dropping Dan off at the train station, we came home and I made her favorite for breakfast... pancakes with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Now she's passed out on the sofa... AGAIN! Once she wakes up, we're gonna go to Marshall's so we can pick up swim suits, then I'm gonna take her to the Arden Pool. Should be fun.

I've done 2 OPKs so far... both negative. They've both got lines, but not dark yet. I'm hopeful that this time on Clomid I'll actually get a + OPK. I've also been doing my Ov Microscope... nothing showing yesterday, but today I see the beginning formations of ferns.

2 more days til my u/s!

Sounds like mega-fun going on at your house with having your niece around That's great !!! Excited to see what your u/ shows on Thursday...if you dont mind sharing, can you let me know what kind of protocol your doc is doing with this clomid+iui cycle? I'll be doing my 1st one at the end of next month. I think I will use Femara +iui (since I already have Femara tabs). Just curious to find out from you what kind of bloodwork and schedule they have you on...thanks so much!!
