Yea...weird temps. I can't wait to see today's temp....
Not only will they be almost one by Christmas but by summer they will be a little bigger and it will be easier to take baby for walks and spend more time outside with baby .

CD 26 - 6 DPO of Cycle #38...
Well, I've turned in the keys for the hovercraft. I'm still in the 97's, which Danny doesn't seem to care for ... But they're high 97's, so I'm hopeful I'll get back into the 98's here shortly.
I unchecked the "discarded" box for those 2 high temps on CD 16 & 17 just for fun to see what it would do and it changed my O day from CD 20 to CD 15, which is when I think my body was gearing up to O right before I got sick with that head cold.
I'm soooo glad I kept going with my OPK's. If I hadn't, I'd be thinking I was 11 dpo right now instead of only 6. CD 21's OPK was totally clearly negative, so I truly believe that's when my surge ended.
I was reading over some of my old books yesterday. It's good to go back sometimes because I was reminded of something I'd kinda forgotten. I was reminded that the corpus luteum begins to disintegrate anywhere from around 5-10 dpo, making less & less progesterone... thus lower temps. If no baby, temps may have another surge, but they generally won't go any higher than they've already been before they start dropping again leading up to AF.
Looking over my chart history, I can see that pattern. I also see some patterns that suggest the exact opposite. I'm not sure what, if anything that means... Possible really early chemicals that no one ever knew about? Who knows... but I'm not gonna go all fetal position over something I never knew about or may be completely off base on. So, maybe my big old temp drops were signs that my corpus luteum started breaking down. It was mostly a nice refresher.
Either way, my temp is up today. My spirits are higher and that is good.

CD 27 - 7 DPO of Cycle #38...
Um... okay. So I've apparently traded in the Hovercraft for a Deep Sea Diving Bell!
Our friends J&R are coming over today around 2 o'clock to hang out... listen to some music, maybe play some board games or watch a movie. We've gotta run out to Target to pick up a few things... So I figured I'd hop on and do a quick update before my day gets away from me.
Everyone is probably having busy weekends and such, so... Not much else to say, I guess...

CD 28 - 8 DPO of Cycle #38...
Well, I was hoping for a bigger increase in temp than I got... but I guess it is what it is. It was cold and pouring rain all day yesterday and into this morning... but I don't know that any of that would really affect my temp that much. There's really nothing to do but wait and see what happens over the next few days.
Lots of Vets getting their BFP's lately... It's bittersweet. I'm so very happy for them, I've been praying for each and every one of them every night for some time now... so I'm so glad to see those prayers being answered. It's just a little sad that the group of girls I've come to rely on on an all but daily basis is growing smaller and smaller.
See? Bittersweet.

It really is a difficult place to be in, isn't it? You want to keep people around, but you also want them to get their dreams. which means leaving. I think that some of those that graduate probably feel some sadness at leaving, too.
Your temps are weird. So what though - as you know, you can find BFP charts that look all sorts of weird, so wait and see it is!

CD 29 - 9 DPO of Cycle #38...
Yeah... I don't know what the frickety frack is goin' on with my temps right now. Wouldn't it be lovely if it was an implantation dip? Dare to dream...
This week is National Infertility Awareness Week and I've decided to use my FB page to spread actual information rather than posting some random quote or whatever. It's given me something to do and honestly... I wish someone had told me all of this stuff when I was 24 or 25 years old. If my little project makes one person ask a question of their OB that saves their fertility or is encouraged to do a Google search... then it's worth it.
We had a nice time with our friends J&R on Sunday. I made an awesome pot of Loaded Potato Soup! J&R are big fans of potato soup, they had it at their wedding reception. I'd never made Loaded Potato before, but figured I'd give it a shot.
Since I didn't have a ton of time, I took a bit of a Semi-Homemade route... using box stock & cubed hash brown potatoes from the frozen section. I cubed up a pound of bacon and let that start cooking down in the pot. I added a diced onion, orange pepper and a poblano I had in the fridge along with some garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Once everything softened a bit, I added a box of chicken stock (NOT broth), a couple of bay leaves, 2 quarts of water and a few bullion cubes just for good measure. I let all of that simmer together for about a half hour or so and then added my bag of frozen potatoes.
When everything was cooked, I finished it with some heavy cream, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, some instant potato flakes to help thicken it up and fresh chopped parsley. Everybody ate it with a dollop of sour cream and a bit more shredded cheese on top.
Everyone loved it and said it was better than any potato soup they'd had in a restaurant. The next time I make it, I think I'll finish it with fresh chives instead of parsley. The parsley was nice for a bit of freshness, but it didn't impart much flavor. Even though they are are cooked onions in the soup, I think the fresh flavor of chives at the finish would be nice.
Not much else going on here... Hope everyone's week is going well.

YUM! I'm trying my first soup this week, as you well know, and if I can manage that, perhaps I will try your loaded tater soup! I've been thinking about you for the past hour, as I'm attempting my first loaf of bread (not including that english muffin bread) right now! I'm attempting to replicate Macaroni Grill's Rosemary Bread. So far, it's looking good - it's rising as I type this, so only time will tell! Should go nice with repurposed spaghetti!

Karin - I tried my hand at recreating the Macaroni Grill's Rosemary bread before we went gluten free. I came close, but I could never get that crunch on the bottom they way they do! I looooved that stuff! Dipping in the olive oil...
Thanks Robyn! I know a lot of girls hide the fact that getting pg hasn't been so easy for them, they feel embarrassed or ashamed... And a lot of that is due to the fact that nobody talks about it, so they feel like it's something to be embarrassed about or ashamed of.
Maybe if more people knew just how many people are affected by infertility, access to care and treatment would be more readily available and more accessible to a larger group of women. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have insurance, let alone insurance that covers the diagnostics and treatment of infertility.
People seem to care about things when they touch their lives... If you know that your sister, your daughter, your granddaughter is among the struggling, maybe you'll be inclined to do something to help make her road a little easier.

I posted here earlier but obviously my post didn't make it My internet was really wonky when I got home so I guess I shouldn't be surprised!
Nikki, it's bittersweet for me too! I find it hard to be happy for myself sometimes because more than ever I want my vets to come with me so we can continue all our chats and just keep moving on together! This has been a 3 journey for me, and while I'm still not convinced it's over, you have been there for me every step of the way and I don't want that to change. I still pray for my vets each and every day and now more than ever want to see your dream come true!

I think spreading the word is wonderful as well! I'm one of those "hiders" of infertility, but have finally started breaking out of my shell and showing support for endometriosis, etc. It's tough because after all this time, I don't really WANT to share anymore- I don't even want to talk about it!
Your temps are still interesting, to say the least. I think it says a lot that you still have solid CH's. Keeping everything crossed for you!

That potato soup sounds great. It made me hungry (and it's only 10:18 am). I'm going to try making it! I think maybe I'll just get all my recipes on JM from now on
Your temps are confusing to me, but I'm bad at 'analyzing' charts. I send as many good thoughts as I can towards all you 'vets' - I want ALL OF YOU to get your BFPs and get out of here (though I'm really going to miss you all when you leave). You are all so deserving of it!!!
