UPDATE!!!

Just got home & changed!

So... We arrive on time, I get signed in and take care of my co-pay while Danny uses the bathroom. In his own words "I can't rub one out if I've gotta poop." I my husband!! He's made this grueling journey more entertaining than I ever dreamed it could be!!

After he'd done his bit, we sat in the waiting room discussing the quality and type of porn offerings they had (I'm always curious!!) We chuckled about that for a bit and he told me that today's sample looked larger than ones he's given in the past. He said it covered the entire bottom and he'd never done that before.

The nurse finally came back and got us. This was the first time that we'd really had a decent wait there. Usually I'm in and out of there in like 15 minutes, but my IUI wasn't actually performed until 11:50 this morning. I know IUI appts take longer because of the washing, etc... so it was no biggie, other than the fact that we were getting hungry!

So we get in the room and the nurse asks us how we're doing, blah blah blah... She gives me my Crinone script (progesterone suppositories) & instructions and then gets to our sample information...
50 MILLION SPERM WITH 90% MOTILITY!!

Okay... let me explain the complete and total spasm I just had. The highest count we've EVER had for an IUI was 14 million... So, 50?!? Um, yeah! We both looked at each other

Dr. Castlebaum came in, nice as always , and said "Great sample!" He asked me what my name was. I said "Are you serious?" He and said "I sure am!" So I told him, he asked me Danny's name and I told him.

I told him about the massive O pains that started late last night on my right side and he said our timing looked perfect! We told him how geeked we were about Danny's numbers and he was so happy for us. He told us a story about a patient whose husband had bad numbers, like IVF bad, and she told her husband "Don't even come downstairs if you don't have sperm!" They got a good sample and she's currently 9 weeks!

So we get Mr. Ducky in and he starts to insert the catheter and I dunno if I was just uber sensitive or what, but it smarted, so I jumped. He apologized... I apologized... Everyone was very sorry. He said "It's okay, sometimes the nerve endings near the cervix can be a little sensitive... You're about 10 seconds away from being pregnant. Let's start this again."

He started again, I didn't feel a thing and it was over! He pulled out the little footrest part of the table, told me to hang out for 10 minutes and then we were free to go.

After they left the room, we kept looking at each other saying "50 million!?!" We both started giggling and couldn't stop smiling Danny said "That deserves a fist bump!" I agreed!!

At 12:00, we left and had lunch at Maggiano's where the chef came to the table and took our order special because we were G-free! They have this AWESOME deal for 2 where you get 1 appetizer, 2 classic pasta dishes, a dessert AND 2 more classic pasta dishes TO TAKE HOME for tomorrow!!! All for $39.95!

We had the Sausage & Peppers app, Penne Alfredo & Creme Brulee for dessert! I'd never had creme brulee before... it was AWESOME!! They went a bit heavy on the sugar on top, but the custard itself was absolutely delicious!! We left with 2 bags full of food!!

An overall GREAT day! We're both really excited and really hopeful about this!

I have probably 2 weeks worth of Crinone leftover you can have. It's just chillen in my linen closet Let me know! If you are pregnant, likely you'll be on it for the first 10 weeks and for me, it wasn't cheap so I would happy to pass it along...

I dont think you could have a better sample/experience - YEAH!!
Go Danny!! BTW, my ovulation pains hit hardcore the afternoon before the IUI, and I freaked out about it, but obviously, it was perfect, so I think its a great sign for you

Funny thing is that Maggianos is where Matts aunt and uncle and cousins eat every week, because of the food and doggy bags...we were going to go with them once when we were up there, but we had to go to Boston, so we couldnt go...hooray for everything

Holy cow! That is soooo awesome. What a great experience and those numbers!!! Has Danny changed anything in his diet or supplements that could have helped the sample get so good? I am so completely excited for you. This has been such a whirlwind experience and just HAS to end with a big fatty positive!

CD 24 - 1 DPIUI of Cycle #40...

Thanks for all the Feel free to start dropping off donations of Baby at any time!

I felt pretty rough last night. My ovaries felt really sore and my lower belly was pretty tender. I was walking pretty gingerly for the rest of the night. I'm definitely feeling better today than yesterday... I'm still tender, but it doesn't seem to be as much as it was last night.

Lyz - You are so awesome!!!

Tracy - The only real change Danny has made is that he's been taking 2 of my gummy prenatals with me every day. He thinks they've helped... who knows?

He's been so sweet! I was jokingly being sarcastic with him last night and he said "Hey! Don't be sending those bad vibes to my unborn child!" He kissed my belly last night and asked if I felt pg first thing this morning!

Our heat wave is supposed to be breaking today... Thank God! Yesterday was so brutal!! We're planning on spending the day getting the kitchen re-organized. It's not very "user friendly" right now, and with as much as we like to cook... We need to get this room sorted.

They have a big round table in there right now and it eats up so much of the floor space and the dining room has a desk in it. So, we're planning on putting the desk in our storage unit, moving their round table into the dining room so it's an actual dining room. What a novel idea!

We're gonna put our smaller rectangular dining room table in the kitchen as a work table with some shelving underneath for storage. There's stuff on the counters that don't need to be out (juicer my mom doesn't really like, crock pot, etc) that are taking up the limited counter space there is.

Danny said he doesn't want me lifting anything heavy or doing "too much", so we're gonna do the best we can and since it's gonna be considerably cooler, hopefully we'll be able to get it done. I'll probably do the prepping, packing stuff away, organizing end of things and he'll do the heavy lifting.

Oh yeah... the microwave died yesterday, so we've gotta pick up a new microwave today. The one they had was a convection oven, and my mom would like another one like that. So, we're gonna see what we can find.

Busy day... But I hope the next 2 weeks stay busy so that they go by quickly!!

Hope everyone has a lovely end to the weekend!

Finally back to a computer for a proper reply. That is so awesome...about everything! Your IUI experience sounded like it went swimmingly (pun intended!)

I have everything crossable crossed for you. I just know things are going the right way for you this cycle. I think I can confidently say that there are a bajillion folks rooting for this to be your time. You have been here too long, and need to go. I mean, we love you and all, but really, don't you think it's time to move on?? I know we do.

Get on out of here.

BTW, I can say this because you and I have been through pretty much the same number of 2WW. This one will easily be the best AND the worst.

CD 26 - 3 DPIUI of Cycle #40...

Um... yeah. I'll TOTALLY be taking you BOTH up on those offers of Crinone!

Went to fill my script last night, yeah? On the way to drop it off, Danny tells me that he refilled one of his scripts that morning and because our insurance stuff hasn't finished being processed yet, right now it's showing up that we don't have coverage. The lady at CVS told him that once it's all processed, he'll be reimbursed for the difference. No big whoop.

So, we go back about 30 minutes later to pick mine up and the guy says we don't have coverage. Danny steps forward and explains the situation, the guy nods and confirms that the lady at the other CVS had told him earlier. Cool.

Then they tell us how much it is. $445.99 We were both seriously like . I told him I could wait another day to see if things go through, but he refused saying "No, you need this. It's fine." Amex to the rescue. I have no idea how much of that cost my insurance is even going to pay once it's back online, so to speak! Either way, it's been bought and I'll be starting it tomorrow.

I felt pretty crummy for the first couple of days after my IUI. My ovaries felt really sore and my lower belly felt really heavy. I had to walk really lightly otherwise it really hurt. Yesterday was the first day when I really started to feel "normal" again.

So far the only thing going on are some sore bbs. They seem a bit less sore now than they were initially, but it's too early for anything to mean anything anyway. Just because I was curious, I did take my temp the past 2 mornings and they're looking pretty good. 98.03 this morning, and that's before starting any support... so here's hoping that's a good sign.

On a interesting note... Let me first say that I don't put much stock in horoscopes, although I must say Danny is uncannily like his sign. It's wicked!! Anyway... I was curious what my horoscope was on the day of our IUI, just for kicks. It was actually really awesome saying to let myself dream and that everything was possible "on a day like today"

So I figured, what the heck... Let's see what it says for the rest of the month. So I'm reading through and my eye is caught by this sentence: "By the super wonderful 22nd and 24th, there's pretty much nothing you can't achieve." I click over to FF and my Test Date is July 22nd.

I'm just sayin...

CD 27 - 4DPIUI of Cycle #40...

Happy Hump Day!

I'm up fairly early this morning... I woke when I felt Danny sit on the end of the bed to put on his shoes. He came over and kissed me on the forehead and belly before heading out to work.

So today's is my last "pure" temp... I'm now on progesterone support, so my temps going forward will a bit artificial. Though I suppose they would still show how well I'm responding to the progesterone... I'll have to think on that...

Had to read the instructions on the Crinone this morning. I thought it would be fairly clear when I opened the little pouch, but... not so much. Once I looked at the little pamphlet, it was simple enough... but it wasn't what I was expecting, I guess.

In other news... I'm totally geeked! DirecTV is coming today between 12-4 to install a box in our bedroom!! We've got a Wii & 360 in here now, so we've been able to Netflix and watch DVDs, but we haven't been able to watch actual TV in the bedroom and it'll be nice to be able to do that again.

Alright... I'm off to check on journals and reheat my
