Trying to conceive for more than a year now : [

Hello,

I have just joined today. My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive for more than a year now. After 6 months with no luck, I started keeping track of my cycles. For the last 9 months, my cycles range anywhere from 30 to 46 days!?!

I went in for a pap. While I was there, I mentioned the length of my cycles to my Dr. She stated that it was completely normal. However, I'm beginning to think this is not normal. If anything, I think my cycle is irregular.

Welcome to the board! Did you tell your doctor that you were ttc? Since yall have been ttc over a year maybe she can start running some test to see if there is anything wrong or even refer you to an RE.

I hope you can get some answers...please KUP.

Hey sweetie! Since it's been a year, I would ask your doctor to run some tests anyway! Don't just let her say that's normal. They always say that and you have to be proactive. Good luck! We are all here for you! Have a great weekend!!

Welcome to the board!

And I would find a new doctor STAT! There are plenty of OB/GYNs out ther who know next to NOTHING about fertility issues, they deal strictly with healthy bodies and pregnancies. Real helpful since about 30% of the childbearing age population has SOME sort of fertility issues or symptoms. You are right, your cycles are NOT normal, and you deserve to at least have tests run so that you can prevent potential long term health problems! Seriously, who GIVES these doctors degrees????
