Hi Ladies,
So sorry I've not been posting much all weekend. As most of you know, I was confined to "bed rest", or rather "couch rest", so didn't really move from there all weekend. I tried to post a couple updates, and even though I didn't post much else, I was still reading/catching up with all of you!
The transfer went well. We were thrilled with our report card - of the 5 that fertilized, we already knew that one dropped out, leaving us with 4 at Day 3. When we arrived on Day 5,. we still had 4! That made us happy. They were graded as follows:
5AA
3AB
4BB (I think)
1AB (I think)
I can't remember the other 2 exactly, but they were decent. The first two listed are the ones we transferred. I do have a pic, but don't have a ton of time right now to scan it. I will eventually though. I think I explained this in my other post, but basically we had one REALLY good embie, and one perfect one. The procedure was sort of in between a pap and SHG. Speculum and catheter. Not painful, a little uncomfortable at times, but nothing bad. DH was in there too, and we got to see the embies going in. It was so neat.
So, that's that! Now we wait. DH took good care of me all weekend. Saturday, transfer day, I slept most of the day. By Sunday late morning, I was bored and ready to get up and play. I ended up watching tv all day while DH worked. My meds are down to:
Prenatals/Low Dose Aspirin (was on both before already)
Progesterone/vag inserts 2x a day
Vivelle (estrogen) patches x2
Tomorrow is Vegas! I never got a chance to get my hair cut, and now my salon is closed on Monday, so my hair looks like a hot mess. I've been putting it off for months, but now i'm hosed. I need it colored more than cut, but either one would help at this point. I may find a random local salon to just trim the ends a bit. I'm also going to go treat myself to a mani/pedi, and DH said that I was in the clear to buy a new dress or outfit for cirque.
Oh, confirmed last night - we have tix to Ka. Greeeeeeeeeeeeat. Oh well, will enjoy it regardless!
I'm also on the hunt for a cheap swimsuit that will help mask all my bloat. I have gained about 8-10 lbs (depending on when I weigh myself) from the stim meds (RE/nurse all say this is totally normal). But it sucks. Not only do have have what looks like an awesome beer belly now, but I still have some residual bruising from the shots. Looks pretty stellar.
So, i'm out for the day. Need to run a some errands, drop something off at my former Coach's house, get some laundry done, etc. Molly is having a bit of a rough go this morning. She's progressively, slowly getting worse. She's not really in pain, she is still gobbling up treats and food, and she'll still get up and run around, but she just looks like she's getting tired of all this. We're thinking that she may not make it through our Vegas trip. She will be at the vet, and they know her situation, so she is in the best hands she can be, besides ours. We are very ok with this. I had a long talk with her this morning. I sat her in my lap and told her it was ok if she wanted to fall asleep and go to doggie heaven. We'll see how she does at the vet. Her time is near, and we are at peace with it.
So, that's my update for the last few days. I need to get going, but will check in later today. I still have one paper and one test to finish up before I leave tomorrow.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and is having a great Monday!
xx

Good luck finishing up everything today - both fun (mani/pedi/hair) and not-so-fun (schoolwork). Hope Vegas is amazing. Sending hugs and love to Molly.

I'm glad you've made your peace with Molly's situation, even though I know it still hurts.
If you need your hair colored, better do it soon! I'm predicting with the quality of those embies you're not going to be able to color your hair until August!
Have fun in Vegas!

Well, ladies...the day was a bust. I spent far too long at malls, never got my mani/pedi (will do in the morning), and never got anything done with my hot mess of hair. I did find a couple cute tops at Nordstrom, but not after trying on half the store. Then I went to a better mall in town, proceeded to try on half of Bloomies and Macy's, pretty much every single item from my fav brand (Free People), and found pretty much nada. Body issues at the moment. Nothing fits right. Blech.
Oh well, I just gave up and came home. I still have to write a paper tonight. I have leftover Macaroni Grill from last night (we got MG takeout--yum), so I will munch that up shortly. Doing laundry, need to pack, ugh. I hate traveling! And DH is at a work dinner too. Fun fun.
I will probably hop on in the morning quick, then not sure when I will again. I will try and check in/post as much as I can from Vegas, but don't want to be that annoying person who is always on her phone.
That's it for me, folks...have a super wonderful few days!

I cried reading about you talking to Molly When my cat of 17 years was at the end I was always telling her she just had to let me know when it was time and that I would support her and gracefully let her go. I knew the day she needed me to let her go and I made the vet appointment to take away her pain. The next day I was begging God for a sign to let me know I had made the right decision. I was in my car and the song "Sissy's Song" by Alan Jackson came on and that was definitely my sign. She died in my arms at the vet which was the only way she would have chosen to go. Anyway, now that I've cried all over your journal... I'm glad you've found peace with Molly and I do hope whatever happens it's right for her!
Sorry about the bloating, I didn't really have bloating but had a lot more pain than most, how are you feeling in that regard?

Tammy... That sort of happened last summer with my cat. She was 17 and suddenly in 1 day just took a turn for the worst. It was a Friday night... I called the vet on Saturday to see what the suggested we do. We decided to watch her over the weekend and were going to bring her in Monday to make 'that' decision and she ended up passing away at home . So Karin...your story about Molly made me tear up too.
Have fun and yeah sorry about the bloating.

Just a super quick check in while waiting for our friends in the Sbux line. Having a super time in Vegas...we have seen and done a lot. Today is the Hoover Dam! I have had no problem "hiding" my condition so we havent had to explain anything. I am SUPER bloated though so my nighttime clothing is a little uncomfy. Oh well. Hope everyone is having a good week!
