6 DPO: My breasts are sore, I'm cramping and my OPks are getting darker! (I pee on a OPK everyday to curve my POAS addiction) I know it's still way early, but I can't help that hope every twinge and pain is a sign of PG!! I don't have my hopes too high... I just want my TTW to be over!

Marci's m/c was in July, she got her first AF in the beginning of September and her sticky bean came in the beginning of October.

Krista's m/c was in June and she got her sticky bean 2 cycles later.

Kara, I hope you're healing up and giving yourself some TLC this week... just wanted to tell you that if you're planning on doing Clomid at some point in the near future, Vitex and Clomid don't mix. Not sure how long you want to be off of it before taking Clomid, but check with your RE.... also, are you on Metformin or have you asked your doctor about starting it? It can really help... lots of luck and high hopes for a super sticky bean SOON!

I had lots of luck with Vitex before so I'm anxious to see what it does when I take it longer... I will talk to my DR about when to stop it if we decide to go the clomid route (which I'm sure we will probably have to eventually) ... As far as metformin... I think I will try the cinnamon first. I am all a out trying natural remedies first and I have heard good things about the cinnamon. And... I have been doing lots of resting. DH has been off with me but is going back to work tomorrow so my friend is taking me out for suishi!

Kara I am glad you're getting back into the swing of things. Honestly i think that's the best thing you can do as long as you are mentally and emotionally ready. That's not to say its not still okay to cry and be upset because I am even 5 months later, but you still know in your heart that you are meant to be a mommy!! There is such a good chance that you will get pregnant very soon, and I hope you do!!

Lots of baby dust coming your way!

This may sound wierd... but obsessing about what I am going to do this time around is helping me not to obsess about what happened last time. I still cry... and I probably will cry for awhile. But I have to look to the future cause I can't go back to the past. One thing I am going to do different this time though is refuse to have my cycles go so long. I have read and I'm sure Mandy knows about this... but if you O really late in your cycle you could have a higher miscarriage rate. So... I will be demanding Provera if my cycles go really long. I worry about getting pregnant too soon... I'm afraid she will try and make me wait for a while and see if I can get pregnant on my own like she did last time... and well... I'm not letting that happen... even if I have to take BCP to start a new cycle... I will. But... my body is feeling back to normal and I feel like I'm just on a regular period now... so I'm hoping when I go see her next Wednesday... we can make a plan...

if you have pcos then going on clomid should help you with your cycle length. I am glad you are finding a way to channel your energy. I know how frustrating it can be with dr.s and your body and everything else! But you know your body and as cheryl would say, you have to stand up for yourself! Please keep us posted on how it goes!

Well... my OB is a big wait and see kinda person and I'm sure she will make me wait awhile for the clomid. That's the reason I am going to do the vitex for now. I am thinking if this next appt doesn't go well... I will be finding another OB. She didn't treat me at all for my PCOS... just told me to wait and see... and when I was spotting when pregnant.... never checked my progesterone...

that is so sucky. I am a little ticked at mine for making me wait another year after my miscarriage to start IF testing but at this point it is best for us as well so i can't fight it but i will be one pushy momma if i do get pregnant again!

How long until your year is up? Everyone I know thinks I should look into a new OB. My BF thinks she's an idiot... which... I'm not sure if I can argue. But I talked to one of the RNs that works on the L&D floor and she said she was one of their better doctors... so I'd hate to get one of the bad ones!

Kara, the second doc I went to had one of the best reputations in town, according to my SIL who is a nurse at that hospital. I read some good reviews of her online too... and was horribly disappointed when I went to see her and she just wanted to give me 100 mg of Clomid (and not even monitor!) just to 'fix' the problem. Some docs are great at being OBs... but not REs. She didn't even know the first thing about PCOS or the higher risk of miscarriage that goes with it. I was appalled. I started looking at private practices with a more holistic and proactive philosophy, and I love my current doctor. Definitely find a doctor who's a better fit who won't be so cavalier about the TTC process... with PCOS you need care and monitoring!

And P.S I am normally one to be all about natural remedies first as well... I take prenatals, B-complex, B-6, cinnamon, fish oil, and raspberry leaf along with the Met. While cinnamon helps by 'acting' like insulin in your bloodstream, the Met makes your cells less resistant to insulin period, which lowers your testosterone levels, which balances everything else. In all honesty, the Met has been my best friend in helping me to feel better and more energetic overall. Before I used to walk around feeling like a lead weight wondering what was wrong with me... if you have blood sugar issues at all, it MIGHT really help. Have you gotten a blood panel done to check glucose, androgens, and FSH/LH? This could help you decide which drugs, if any, are appropriate for you in particular.
