Thanks ladies

CD26 / 13DPO

Temp dropped below the coverline this morning, confirming what I already knew - this cycle is a bust. No tears yet but I'm feeling pretty low, and to be honest broken. 18 cycles of nothing. nadda. I'm sure the tears will come once AF arrives, luckily I have no plans for this weekend as I may just want to stay in bed feeling sad.

Cycle #19, CD2 - WTTC

The title says it all last cycle was a bust, clomid failed. I ended up having a pretty busy weekend as it goes but I decided I would rather be distracted from being all sad and emotional.

Since we bought the house in 2011 we havent had an awful lot of quality bedroom furniture, we have our bed - which I love but other than that we've been saving for a wardrobe and/or chest of drawers etc. in the meantime we've had some cheap wood frame with the fabric cover furniture to make do. I decided that our bedroom needed a make over last week so considering I cant spend £££ cos of the wedding we did the following:
- spent some christmas money off relatives on some beautiful new bedding / throws
- bought an old chest of drawers from a local charity shop and decided to paint them

So saturday afternoon I sanded and primed the chest of drawers and then once the primer was dry I did the first coat of paint

Sunday morning I gave it a second coat of paint then sunday afternoon we went to DF's parents as its his dads birthday on tuesday and DF will be working late. Sunday evening we did errands / josb around the house and had food.

I've been at work today, busy day, and havent checked on the chest of drawers yet since ive been in but may consider giving a third coat of paint tonight if looking patchy...i shall see

Anyway it seems keeping busy is doing me good, just gotta keep up the pace. Work wise I have a lot on this month so that should help january fly by (wishful thinking)

I am trying to arrange with the bridesmaids to go to the national wedding show which is in birmingham on the 2nd March to give me something to look forward to!

CD?? Ticker says 10 ..

CD doesnt matter anyways currently, I wouldnt have any clue if it wasnt for FF! I started having some watery CM today interestingly...quite early...wondering if possible clomid after effectss??? anyways doesnt really matter as we're not trying tihs month. we DTD yesterday cos we wanted to but meh

I had a hard day sunday, not sure why but it was rough. We even spoke about not taking a break and going straight to IUI afterall. We agreed we'd done the right thing though taking a break, as difficult as it is in the meantime.

I just feel broken and whilst I still have hope that ill eventually be a mummy, i dont see it in my near future which is increadibly sad. so sad that it seems to be making me doubt every other aspect of my life, making everything else seem bad, broken or generally not great. does that make any sense at all? I tried explaining to DF but im not sure he understood

work is manic, which although is a PITA, its serving as a good distraction during the day. its evenings and weekends where my brain strays into feeling sad. like tonight for example, DF works late on a tuesday so I fend for myself and lo and be hold i'm sat thinking about the fact im not pg. meh stoopid me.

i think thats a long enough pity party for now...

I'm so sorry Jen. I know that you made the right decision for you and your family, but it's still tough. I think about not being pregnant and not being able to get pregnant all the time. It's hard not to think about it. I try to distract myself with other things and I'm trying to think more positively as well. I'm here if you need me!

I can honestly say I've been there. You know that. Trust me, even through the hardest of days, there is a light at the end of the tunnel...

Work is a great distraction for many things...keep at it, and before you know it, it's wedding time!!!!

thanks ladies, deep down I know it was the right decision - still hard to deal tho at times. And its particularly hard seeing other people moving forward (both IRL and here) while we're not.

I'm exhausted tonight so wont add much more. need an early night, its been a looong day at work and its likely going to be the same tomorrow!

Sorry you're down, Jen I very much understand what you mean about everything else seeming negative. I often have similar feelings. Try to focus on your impending wedding!

CD1, Cycle #20 - WTTC/NTNP cycle #2

So i got through it, our first cycle of WTTC/NTNP for the wedding, likely to have another four others (feb/march/april/may). Looking to do our first IUI June or July depending on clinic appointments / testing etc. But we got through it, I suspect itll have been the hardest with christmas, adjusting to NTNP and friends of ours getting their BFP after TTC for less than 6 months. Anyway, not much to update TTC wise - obviously! Instead .....Wedding!

Things are going well wedding planning wise - so far we have ticked off our list:
Venue
Registrar
Wedding dress
Bridesmaids dresses
Photographer

Next on our list to do are:
Wedding rings
Cake
venue decorations/floristry

We've had a couple of quotes already on rings and after being to another wedding fayre today, we have an appointment on the 21st Feb with a ring company that brings samples to your house to try on and them make bespoke rings. The others we have seen we which like were bespoke too so I suspect thats the way we'll go. In the most part they turn out costing less than the 'chain store' off the shelf version anyway - bonus!

Cake ...here's our issue, neither of us particularly like icing. I am happy to get an iced cake and live with it cos they look pretty. Rob however doesnt want to spend ££ on a cake, half of which he wont eat. We're looking at options and I've seen a few on pinterest ( ) - I especially like the 'naked' cakes - just sponge with decorations but no icing. It may be the way we go if we can find someone who can still make it look pretty!

Oh and shoes...duh...how can I forget those, i posted some i've been looking at on the main board but my faves are some gold sparkly jimmy choos which unfortunately cost around £350 so somewhat pricey! We shall see what the shoe fairy brings I think lol!

I think thats enough wedding for now in my TTC journal, hope nobody minds!

I got some sad news today, my friend who got her BFP a couple of weeks ago messaged me to say shed been in hospital and had lost the baby. I don't know the details but she said they hadn't been able to rule out an ectopic, even though shed had multiple blood tests, internal exams and a scan and has to go back to the hospital again on monday. She said she's hoping it was 'just' a miscarriage. I feel so bad for them, I've just said ill be here for anything she needs.

I also feel guilty for not being 100% happy and excited for them cos I was so jealous its happened for them so quickly, I thought it wasn't fair and now I feel like an ***.

Anyway I just wanted to get my feelings out somewhere

It's so hard - I had that happen with a friend - pregnant on the first try out and then they miscarried. I felt like such a jerk.

(epilogue is they got pregnant right away again and she's due in March, but...still)

I get how you feel, and I hope they are able to conceive again soon...and also you and me too
