CD3 - Cycle #21, month 3 of NTNP/WTTC

Onto month 3 of waiting. Hhmph, if anything it at least feels like its going quickly. Doesnt seem like it was christmas two minutes ago.

I had a bittersweet weekend - i'll share about the wedding show later but I need to get my other thoughts out first. One of my best friends, one of my bridesmaids, had her second baby on sunday. Baby girl was early, just as we expected, she made it to 38wks though and baby was 6lb + and has come home today. I'm so very very happy that baby is here safe (i keep saying baby as no name yet) and M and her OH now have two beautiful daughters. But it just reminded me that i'm still not a mum, not even close. And that we could have been pregnant and given birth to two babies in the length of time we've been TTC. it just makes me really sad...like i said bitterseet.

I told rob I felt sad and he said he knew what I meant, it just reminds us how long we've been waiting. And realistically we're not going to parents in 2013. It will be 2014. It sounds like such a long long time away.

I'm so sorry Jen! I haven't posted about it yet, but my younger sister had her second baby (my darling nephew Xavier) last Wednesday! So happy for her, but so sad that I can't even get pregnant by IVF! So I know how you feel. Though technically I'm not NTNP, trying naturally pretty much feels that way.

I'm here if you need me!

Thanks for the support ladies, it helps getting it out there and knowing i'm not the only one to feel this way. I'll be ok, some days are just harder than others.

I'm so sorry that you are feeling this way, Jen. I can definitely relate. I feel like so many people I know are pregnant or have babies. I wish that life were fair. You will have a healthy and happy baby, though, and you will be a GREAT mom!

Jen, you all have certainly been patient. It sounds like you are being very realistic in balancing the feelings of disappointment and feelings of happiness for your bridesmaid. You're a good friend and will make such an understanding mom.

Yay for wedding rings!

We got married on a Saturday, left town on a Friday, and ordered our rings on a Wednesday. We were strapped for cash so we were actually going to do cheapie rings and upgrade later, but I ended up finding a local jeweler in town who could get us white gold, simple bands overnight. GOOD customer service. He scored major points in my book that day. I have no idea what we would have done if we couldn't find wedding bands in time.

Did you all go with simple, matching, decorated?

That's awesome that you ordered your wedding rings? What do they look like??

I got my husband a plain white gold band because that's what he wanted. He got me a white gold band with diamonds around it to match my engagement ring. My engagement ring also has diamonds around the band and a heart shaped diamond.

No pic's i'm afraid as we got them from a small jewellers who's website isnt too fancy!

I got a plain platinum 2mm band which matches my engagement ring. Rob ordered a 4mm 9ct white gold band which has a satin finish and a darker coloured band through the middle. We got them for a really good price too so even better! We should have them in 3-4 weeks! Cant wait

So excited for you! THey sound beautiful! I'm still trying to convince DH to go to the UK in November (though he doesn't have any control of this, I'm still trying!).

Yay for ordering the wedding bands! I found that was a really exciting moment for me (especially since we did a planned elopement so I didn't get go shopping for a wedding dress or anything like that).

I totally understand how you feel about your sister as well. It's so hard sometimes. Big hugs!

Jen, this is completely off topic, but have you ever been to the US? I just wondered because I have been to the UK twice, but it was quite a while ago. The first time I went I was 18 and the second time I went I was 22.

Reba - nope I've never been to the US. We're considering a trip to new Jersey as a late honeymoon to coincide with the formula one grand prix in april 2014 ish. Where abouts in the UK did you visit?

Jen, I was mostly in London both times I went. I also went to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, Bath, and the first time we went over to Wales, too. That would be awesome if you guys came to the US for your honeymoon!

Most people tend to visit London, I cant say its my favourite place in the UK as its very busy but there is lots to do. Wales is a beautiful place, me and DF took meg and stayed in a cottage on a farm last easter for a few days, it was so relaxing and we did lots of walking in sunshine!

CD12, Cycle #21 Month #3 NTNP

I'm feeling grumpy today - I've had to go to the doctors about a lump i've had which has gotten progessively more painful over the last couple of days. They think its infected and has given my a weeks antibiotics to help clear it up. Its getting to the point now where its painful to walk or sit or do anything really. I hope these antibiotics do the trick!

I'm snowed under at work, March is the end of our financial year and we have a shed load of stuff to get done before then. Some of the deadlines are the end fo this week so i'm feeling the pressure a bit. I had a productive day today though so thats something.

I realise that I still havent posted a proper update about the wedding show but I promise ill get to it soon!
