I'm so sorry Jen. I totally get it. You know that I do. It's so hard. We've been trying so long and so hard (MA) and nothing. I wish I could give you hug in person and we could cry together.

You have every right to feel sad. I skipped baby sitting and a baby shower because I knew I wouldn't be able to emotionally deal with it. Do what it takes to take care of you.

Yay about the invitations! They'll be in your hands shortly!

You are right, it is okay to get sad sometimes. I'm glad you had a good cry instead of keeping it all bottled up inside you. I would hug you if I could!

When do you trigger?

CD13, IUI cycle #1

Scan went well yesterday. Report was that I have one 13mm on my right then one 10mm and one 16.5mm on the left. This is particularly good as the left is my good tube. My lining had grown ftom 5mm to 8mm too which is great.

Im triggering tonight at 10pm and the iui tuesday morning at 10am (36hrs after trigger). DF has to gp give his sample at 8am.

I can't recall the name of the med im triggering with right now and its in the fridge. It's like an epipen and goes into the fatty bit pf my tummy. I have to take it out the fridge a half hour before I take the shot as apparently it hurts less that way.

I'm slightly worried that 36hrs is a long time and we might miss O. I guess I'm being silly as they know what they're doing right?? Its also late for me with my normal cycle and what if I o before 10pm tonight? I had some ewcm last night. Im just trying to avoid using opks as I think it would make me worry more. I plan to test out the trigger though, am I right in thinking it should go around 10dpo?

Jen, I don't have any experience with injectibles. I think what you are worrid about is common. Any chance you can call your doc and ask these questions to a nurse? It seems like they should be used to answering those exact questions.

Due to your husband giving a sample does that mean that you two are not supposed to BD on your own right now?

I wish I could answer your questions, but I'm sure the docs know what they are doing. I might call tomorrow morning just in case, though. I have everything crossed for you!!

I've been doing some research - google is good for some things! - and it sounds like anywhere between 24 - 36hrs is considered optimal and 'normal'. The only circumstances where its done earlier is when theyre doing double IUI in which case its usually done at around 12 hours and then 40+. I feel so much better - i know I should trust that the fertility clinic knows what theyre doing, i'm just too much of a skeptic!

Trigger done! Ovitrelle 250mcgs (6,5000IU)

Didnt hurt too much, I put it into my belly and DF pushed the button down to inject it. Definately needed 3 hands lol! DF liked that he could help too!

Yay! So exciting, good luck on Tuesday! Don't stress too much, I'm sure they know what your doing!

I really hope this is it for you, you two deserve it !

Also, oh my gosh I don't like needles, you did great!

I don't know if I could do it (Though DH and I have had plenty of practice giving our cat insulin, so if it ever comes up, I'm thinking he could do it it if I couldnt, lol)

CD14 IUI cycle #1

Doing ok today, slept fine last night and no nausea or anything from the trigger so pleased about that. I'm going to be testing out the trigger and started today. I usef SMU as I forgot this morning lol.

My first thought. ..I hope this isn't the only time I see two lines on a hpt.

Blaring positive on the opk as expected, im cramping loads and have a crap tonne of CM today.

There's a second line on the hpt too, not as dark as I thought it might be but then again I haven't seen pics of trigger tests before and I did use SMU

My trigger was the equivalent of 6, 500 iu and one of the lovely ladies on the ttcma board said the body will metabolise around 1, 000 iu per day. So my trigger should be gone by 7dpo

I've always used Ovidrel for my trigger shots. You will O around the 36 hour mark. Most women O between 24-40 hours, but really its closest to 36 hours. My RE says that Ovidrel will stay in the system up to 10 days and not to test before that. I'm so for your IUI tomorrow!!!
