I'm so glad that your appt went well, but I'm sorry that the midwife rushed you and didn't include DF much in the conversation. I'm sorry about all the bloodwork. I fainted during mine! I've never fainted before, but I think it was because I was upset about the lack of heartbeat on my ultrasound and I was just overwhelmed. I woke up in another room and they had to give me a little carton of orange juice. lol

I'm thinking of you! xoxo I'm so excited and happy for you!

 Hi Sam, thanks for checking in

10+1 weeks - double figures

Thought I should come and do an update whilst i'm trying to keep myself occupied. Anxiety is not my friend today.

Sleepyness - i'm exhausted. Literally exhausted. For about 22 hours of the day and for about 11 of those i'm asleep these days lol. In my preggo books they call it 'extreme fatigue' and apparently its normal at the moment and it should ease in about 4-6 weeks. What makes it worse is the meds i'm taking for the morning sickness, they anti-histamines so naturally make you drowsy too. makes me fun to be with - poor DF

Lets talk boobs - oh and nipples - They hurt real bad. all. of. the. time. Yesterday, I caught my right nipple with my fingernail and even though I was wearing a top at the time (no bra however) it hurt like a motherpucker. I'm sat very still at the mometn on the sofa and they both ache like someone used them as a punching bag. Its funny because although they're getting bigger, theyve only grown by mayybe a cup size - i would expect more from the pain lol. Its like i'm not earning anything

Eating is no longer something I enjoy, food just doesnt sit well in my stomach anymore. and my tastebuds are wacko. Dont get me started on my sense of smell - I'm like a bassethound!

Things that i'm liking - DF kissed my belly before going to sleep last night and keeps asking me how i'm feeling. He's also doing more around the house like hoovering and lifting stuff for me. I've also convinced him to do some redecorating before christmas.

What I really cant wait for is telling more people and sharing the JOY! Theres a word i'm looking for on the tip of my tongue - dont laugh, its a word they use in greys anatomy (fans anyone????) - it'll come back to me. Anyways, its my nans birthday on the 17th September and we're hoping to tell my side of the family then - i think I already wrote about this, lol ah well never mind. I'm really excited about it! My sister is so so excited she's gonna be an aunt too, 5 mins after I told her she was talking baby shower!

Wedding stuff - we finally booked our honeymoon! We're going to Agadir in Morrocoo for a week after the wedding. It looks amazing, I cant wait. This is the hotel's website - Hotel Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa - Luxury hotel AGADIR - Official Web Site

Oh, Jen! Sorry about the puking again. I read on several pregnancy journals where women described puking and peeing simultaneously. It will make for a good story one day, right?

We've looked at going before but decided with Egypt instead(a few years ago). We wanted to go somewhere thatll still be warm in November but nothing too long haul (i.e. less than 5 hrs flight) - plus with everything going on in Egypt at the moment and the fact we've been before - Morrocco it was I cant wait!

Your honeymoon does look amazing, Jen!!!

I'm sorry you're still puking, and that food isn't fun! I've heard from a lot of women that some of that can change in the second trimester. Hopefully that is the case for you.

I bet you are over the moon excited to tell your family, I know I would be!!

10wks 4days

I've been getting pretty anxious this past few days so yesterday I found a place locally that does private scans. We went ttoday and everything was amazing. Baby is measuring at 11wks and has a lovely heartbeat, was wriggling around and even waved (or it looked like that anyway lol)

I have pictures and will post soon. Baby has grown so much, its a total 47mm now!

aww yay! I'm glad you got another scan.

And aww... 4.7cm of baby!!!!!

I remember going to my aunt's 12w scan with her 2nd.. she had her daughter with her so I held her and she asked "how big's the baby" The ultrasound tech told us.. but Tori was only 6 and confused. Ironically.. baby was as big as my Ipod... She went to school the next day and excitedly told her teacher that Mommy had an Ipod in her belly. ROFL.
